Church Of San Pasquale Baylonne

The parish church dedicated to Saint Pasquale Baylon (protector of women), imposing in size, was commissioned by the last feudatory of Cerasuolo, the duke Pasquale Marotta, who died in 1884.

The construction of the building began at the end of the nineteenth century but completed only thirty years later. Completely destroyed by the Second World War, it was completely rebuilt thanks to the solicitude of the then Abbot of Montecassino, Gregorio Diamare. Since 1977 the parish of Cerasuolo is part of the Diocese of Isernia-Venafro, after the efforts of Msgr. Achille Palmerini, who succeeded in incorporating in the Diocese many territories of the high Volturno.

Works performed:

  • Review of the coverage;
  • Copper cover of the tympanum;
  • Revision and restoration of the facade of the main entrance.
