The structure was built around 1550s. It has a plan typical of a Renaissance fortification and consists of a single building with mutually well-depreciated vestments to which a watchtower is connected.

The proposed interventions for the structural reinforcement of the building, designed to eliminate the vulnerabilities found and to increase the degree of security of the structure in the presence of seismic actions, favor the consolidation of the castle, preserving the static pattern of the structure without altering overall its mechanical operation under both static and dynamic loads. All this allows to raise the safety level of the factory and, at the same time, respect the dictates of the integral preservation of historical and artistic heritage.
