The church was edified in the last 13th century for hire by the lords of Limosano’s castle (CB).
The church was restored at the request of the archbishop Orsini, who dedicated it in 1621.
After the restorations the church had 3 aisles, the structure has a rectangular profile and the front door is in the lateral walls. The access of the church is located in the front central gateway. The front has uneven shapes of stones and a mixed masonry.
Works carried out:
- consolidation and restoration of the wood trusses and the coating;
- the rebuilding of the collapsed walls after the 2002 earthquake;
- the rebuilding of the wood roof.
