Safety, repair and restoration work on the towers of Monte Lucio, Monte Zane and Monte Vetro – Lot I

A delicate work of consolidation, repair and restoration of the towers of Monte Lucio, Monte Vetro and Monte Zane, complicated by logistical, landscape and archaeological constraints of the sites and made necessary by the proven and evident conditions of degradation of the structures, in continuous transformation due to collapses triggered by the earthquake of 2012 and amplified by the growth of pest vegetation. It was necessary to find a solution that would fully secure the existing masonry walls (currently not contrasted) on which emerge signs of material degradation and detachment of the elements constituting the masonry. The design of the safety measures is also aimed at the realization of service plans for the subsequent execution of the restoration and conservation refurbishment.
