The Masciotta, without citing the source of the news, reports the foundation of the complex before 1328. In 1809 it was suppressed and later housed the Royal Judge and the Mandatory Prison.

Converted to the parish on 11 October 1809, at the request of the parish priest, Fr. Ferdinando Ricci, he welcomed the parish of S. Giovanni de Graecis.
